Pemba’s story started when he was just a young boy, helping climbers as a porter on Mera Peak. He saw firsthand how tough it was for travelers to find a good place to stay. Inspired to make a change, he started with a small tea shop. Every penny he earned went into his dream of creating a place where tired trekkers could rest comfortably.

After years of saving and dedication, Alpine Mera Lodge opened its doors. Starting small, it has grown over twenty years into a warm and welcoming lodge. Situated perfectly along trekking routes, it offers stunning views of the Himalayan peaks.
